Patricia Bird is a self-educated portraitist, visual arts, illustrator, photographer, computer graphic artist, website designer, and art educator. Patricia incorporates primarily traditional and classical techniques into her visual art, and her eclectic styles include realism and surrealism. She prefers graphite, technical pen, and pastels when drawing; and enjoys painting in acrylics and watercolor.
In Kansas, she became a popular teenager due to her artistic ability, drawing celebrities for peers, being on TV and News for illustrating a children’s book for the Kansas Highway Patrol & winning the Outstanding Youth of the Year Award from Topeka’s Optimist in 1977 along with many other awards.
